Maybe if you have (or had) one of these, this ad from Road and Track will evoke some pleasant memories, but personally I think it’s terrible. Did it even sell one car? That drawing, the woman visible in the passenger seat? Not to mention the great copy: “an expression of whatever you want it to say,” the “power bulge hood” (by the way, did they do away with hyphens that month?), and “turn the switch on this beautiful baby” are some of the lines that stand out for me. Whoever wrote  that sure earned his keep that day. Guess they were still a cool car…
